Data Scientist Intern (unpaid position)

Neurons brings neuroscience into marketing to offer innovative solutions to our customers, and as the company is on its new stage of exponential growth we are looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join our fantastic Product team.
The duration of this internship is between 4-6 months, upon agreement.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and requirements for data analysis projects.
2. Utilize BigQuery and SQL to extract, manipulate, and transform data from diverse sources into structured datasets for analysis.
3. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within the data using R and/or Python.
4. Develop and implement queries, scripts, and pipelines to clean, preprocess, and transform data for analysis.
5. Assist in delivering data analysis reports to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Apply statistical methods and data analysis techniques to uncover insights that drive business decisions.
7. Support the validation and testing of data models and hypotheses.
As an Intern Data Scientist with a focus on data analysis, you will collaborate with our product and commercial teams to extract valuable insights from large datasets using BigQuery and SQL. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for growth and learning within a fast-paced, real-world environment. You will gain hands-on experience in data manipulation, exploration, and analysis, helping to drive data-informed decisions.
What you will need:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.Strong understanding of data analysis principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with statistical software such as JMP, R, or Python is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in working with SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving field.
Prior experience or projects related to data analysis is a plus.
Familiarity with Google BigQuery or other large-scale data warehousing platforms is a plus.
