As a Senior Fullstack Developer at Neurons, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our advanced AI-powered platform. Your expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI) will be key to ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of our backend services, while experience in React will help support frontend integrations. Additionally, exposure to Golang will be an advantage as we expand our backend capabilities.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

Technical Expertise

• Take ownership of our backend services, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
• Design and implement robust APIs and microservices using Python (Django, FastAPI) and Golang.
• Optimize and refine database structures for high performance and scalability.
• Work closely with frontend engineers to integrate APIs and enhance system efficiency.
• Lead backend architecture discussions, making key decisions to drive long-term scalability.
• Collaborate with other engineers, such as core services and AI teams, to deliver backend-driven features that support our AI-powered solutions.
• Document key architectural decisions and participate in our decision-making processes, including Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and Request for Comments (RFCs).
• Proven expertise in React.

Collaboration with Product Teams

• Work closely with our product manager and designers, leveraging your backend expertise to influence and shape the future direction of our platform.
• Define and implement technical requirements that align with business and product goals.
• Provide well-considered recommendations, balancing the ideal with the feasible while considering technical and product constraints.

What you will need:

To be successful in this role, we think you would need:

• 6+ years of professional software development, with a strong focus on backend development and API architecture.
• Strong expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI) and React for supporting frontend integration.
• Some experience or willingness to work with Golang.
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, secure APIs and database architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps, cloud-native infrastructure (GCP preferred), and containerization.
• Experience in deploying, maintaining, and monitoring containerized services in a production environment.
• A strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for optimizing system performance.
• Experience working with agile methodologies in a product-focused engineering team.
