Data Scientist
Help shape the future of decision-making at the intersection of AI and neuroscience
At Neurons, we help brands understand how people actually perceive, feel, and decide; before anything goes live. By combining AI, computer vision, and neuroscience, we enable companies to predict attention, emotion, and impact at scale, removing guesswork from creative and marketing decisions.
We’re now looking for a Data Scientist who wants to work on meaningful problems, validate cutting-edge AI models, and directly influence how our technology is trusted and used by customers worldwide.
What You'll Achieve In This Role
You'll be expected to:
Establish and validate new statistical metrics that underpin how Neurons’ AI models are evaluated, trusted, and evolved.
Raise the bar on model reliability and interpretability, ensuring our predictions are not just accurate, but consistent and explainable.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to translate real-world customer and internal needs into rigorous analytical frameworks.
Turn complex statistical findings into clear insights, enabling both technical and non-technical stakeholders to make confident decisions.
Continuously evolve our validation methodologies, keeping Neurons at the forefront of statistical modelling in applied AI and neuroscience.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Acting as a senior statistical partner to the AI team, identifying and validating metrics for computer vision–based models.
Designing and executing analytical experiments to evaluate model accuracy, robustness, and reliability.
Identifying relevant data sources and building data pipelines to support rigorous model validation.
Analyzing large, complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and inconsistencies in predictions.
Preparing clear reports, documentation, and presentations for a wide range of stakeholders; from engineers to commercial teams.
Staying up to date with modern statistical modelling techniques and validation frameworks, and bringing new ideas into production.
What You Bring
Experience & Skills
A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
3+ years of experience in applied statistical analysis, with strong foundations in:
- Regression modelling
- Hypothesis testing
- Experimental designStrong Python and SQL skills for data extraction, exploration, and analysis.
Experience building robust data workflows and analyzing complex relationships in data.
A sharp eye for detail and a genuine curiosity for data exploration.
How You Create Impact
You’re a collaborative team player who enjoys working across disciplines and contributing to a positive, inclusive team environment. You take initiative and ownership in your work, approaching challenges with a proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to move things forward without needing constant direction. You’re naturally curious and innovative, excited to explore new technologies and methods; particularly in the evolving space of AI and neuroscience. Just as importantly, you’re a clear and thoughtful communicator, able to translate complex statistical ideas into language that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
